Colman’s Classic British Meatloaf

Ingredients:


2 lb. ground beef
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 onion finely chopped
2 T. Worcestershire sauce, plus one teaspoon
1 ½ tsp. Colman’s Dry Mustard
½ tsp. freshly ground pepper
1 cup fine, dry, seasoned bread crumbs
¾ cup beef broth
1 T. olive oil
¼ cup ketchup

Instructions:


· Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
· In a large bowl, combine beef, eggs, onion, 2 T. Worcestershire sauce, Colman’s Dry Mustard, and bread crumbs.
· Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated
· Add beef broth and mix again.
· Oil the inside of the loaf pan and add meat mixture.
· In a small bowl, mix ketchup and 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce. Spread on top of meatloaf.
· Bake for 45-55 minutes.

Colman’s Mustard Featured on the Food Network as the Perfect Summer Salad Ingredient

Alex Guarnaschelli, Food Network star and judge on the hit show Chopped, recently claimed on a segment of the Food Network show The Best Thing I Ever Ate that her favorite food is a Ceasar Salad made with Colman’s Mustard!*

The recipe for Ms. Guarnaschelli’s favorite salad was built by a chef at Pietro’s restaurant in New York City. 2 Tbls Red Wine Vinegar
2 Tbls Olive Oil
1 Tsp Dill Weed
3/4 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 Tsp Lemon Pepper
1/4 Tsp Colman's Original Prepared Mustard

Colman's Mustard on Food Network!

Colman's Mustard was recently featured in a Ceasar Salad recipe on the Food Network. The show is called “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” and highlights what top food stars and chefs consider the best food in the country. The episode featured a Caesar salad dressing made at a top NYC restaurant, and as the preparer is adding Colman’s he boasts that he “wouldn’t substitute it for anything else. This is the great mustard.”

Ingredients:


1 lb. premium ground Kobe beef

1 green chili, finely chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 cup breadcrumbs
¾ cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
1 egg, whisked
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Fry the chopped onion until soft
2. Mix all remaining ingredients in a large bowl, adding cooked onions
3. Shape into burger patties, place on waxed paper, and put in fridge for 30 minutes
4. When chilled, grill patties on BBQ at 150 degrees
5. Serve on fresh crusty bread rolls with tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce.

Serves 4.


*Tip: Mix some Colman’s Original Prepared Mustard with honey and a splash of vinegar for a delicious honey-mustard sauce that is great as a condiment on the burgers or a dipping sauce for fries or grilled vegetables.

Chocolate Spice Cookies

Ingredients
3 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon
½ cup butter, softened
2/3 cups granulated sugar
1 egg, at room temperature
1 ½ teaspoons Colman’s Original Prepared Mustard

Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Melt the chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, and set aside.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and set aside.
Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugar, chocolate and the egg and beat well.
Dissolve the Colman’s Original Prepared Mustard and heavy cream and add to the chocolate mixture.
On the lowest setting, fold in the sifted flour mixture.
Divide the dough in half. Place each half on a sheet of waxed paper and form into a 10-inch strip
Using the waxed paper to help, lift and roll each strip into a 10-inch cylinder
Wrap each cylinder in the waxed paper, twisting the ends to secure
Chill for 2 hours
Slice in ¾ inch rounds
Roll in sugar
Bake for 15-20 minutes
Cool and enjoy!
Makes 1 dozen

Grilling Cheese Foccacia Sandwich with Colman’s Honey Mustard

Ingredients for Sandwich:

1 Package Karoun Yanni Grlling Cheese, sliced ¼” thick
4 Pieces Foccacia Bread, lightly toasted
1 jar Sundried Tomato Tapenade
Fresh Arugula
Olive Oil for brushing

Ingredients for Colman’s Honey-Mustard Dip:
1 Cup Colman’s Mustard
¼ Cup Vinegar
¼ Cup Honey
1 Clove Garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper


To Prepare Colman’s Honey-Mustard Dip:

Combine Colman’s Prepared Mustard with vinegar, honey, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix well. Store in a closed jar in refrigerator.
Yield: 1 ¼ Cups

To Prepare Sandwich:

· Spread Foccacia slices with Sundried Tomato Tapenade on one side and Colman’s Honey Mustard Dip on the other
· Lightly brush stovetop grill pan with olive oil or preheat outdoor grill and brush with olive oil.
· Heat grill pan over high heat and add Karoun Yanni Grilling Cheese slices. Cook until golden brown crust forms.
· Top two Foccacia slices with Karoun Yanni Grilling Cheese.
· Place fresh Arugula on top of cheese.
· Cover with remaining Foccacia and slice diagonally.
